Powder Coating, Sandblasting and our Service

What is powder coating?

Powder coating is a process that involves spraying metals with a decorative coloured powder, which is then baked to produce a chip resistant, even, glossy coat. It is used primarily for decorative purposes, but the epoxy we use can also sometimes act as a protective agent.

What CAN be powder coated?

Most metals can be powder coated, however, each requires different pre-treatment depending on the type. We don’t recommend powder coating rusted metal, as we cannot guarantee the result will be of high quality.

Why can't powder coating be completed on site or at my house?

Due to the pre-treatment and equipment needed (including safety gear and technical spray guns etc), we cannot perform powder coating services on-site. We will provide on-site quotes however.

Does powder coating guarantee the protection of my metal?

Our powder coating services are primarily for decorative purposes, but we can offer semi protective and protective finishes for an extra charge. Our epoxy primer is used to extend the life of your powder coat.
